Connect Google Drive when Roomote needs file context from shared docs, spreadsheets, and other Drive files during a task.

When to use it

  • read linked Google Docs and Sheets without leaving the task
  • pull Drive file content into debugging, planning, or review work
  • use recent files and file metadata as context for ongoing implementation

How setup works

Admins enable Google Drive from Settings > Integrations. Each teammate then links their own Google account from Personal Settings. This setup uses Google’s hosted Google Drive MCP with user OAuth. People authenticate as themselves, so Roomote can only reach the Drive files, Google Docs, and Sheets that the linked user can already access. There is no service-account flow in this setup.

What to expect

Google Drive access is user-scoped. Roomote can only read the Drive files, Google Docs, and Sheets that the linked user can already access. The current integration is read-only. It helps Roomote inspect file content during a task, but it does not create, copy, or edit files. Roomote requests Google Drive read-only access for this integration so agents can read file content and metadata without taking write actions.
